The Grove
When we first started talking about changing our name, one of the reasons we liked Stereogrove is because the name brings up a lot of visual possibilities that we can play with. Having a theme you can play with as a band is a key factor. In terms of branding it helps to associate an image with a name to allow them to sink in to the human mind, thus being more memorable. Think of it as a guy wearing concrete shoes, versus someone who isn’t, ones going to cement faster (pun intended).
Long story short we thought it be cool to explore the “what if stereogrove was a real place?” idea. An actual grove of stereos. What we popped out so far is a series of drawings based on a dream scape realm where instruments and musical equipment grow on trees. Here the farmers till the land and bring the harvest to the mill where they make their primary export, which is music, that is then sold in the neighboring towns. If you check out the series they are all viewpoints of the same place.
The Grove (10p Series)
A Series of 10 drawings depicting a dream like realm of a Stereogrove. Instruments grow on trees where they are harvested by the farmers and turned into music in the mill. Out comes music.
