The Bill's Bar Set has Been Chosen, Thank You All

Hey all

Thanks to everyone for writing in with your suggestions. We took them all into consideration and spent long hours debating. It even caused a few arguments to turn into blows. Matt Smith picked up a chair and started swinging it widely asking why we couldn’t learn how to “rock in the free world”.  Still not sure what he meant, he has since been heavily sedated and put under surveillance.

However we came to a conclusion on bringing your 15 some odd suggestions and turning it into an 8 song set.  So, without any further adieu, I bring to you, the set list for this Saturday.

Gravelnot on any album- but it F’nnng rocks!
Wakefieldnew song for all you rock reggae fans
Dig My Own Grave -classic sing along about digging your own grave.
Shake itfor all you dancers, turn it funky
Lost Lovechange the funk to a grove and keep it bouncin

Super Baddass Awesome Ending. – you’ll just have to wait and see. (just for fun)

Maximum Capacity for Blue Men

Hey all, we rocked a Halloween bash in Chicopee with our good friends dpr. An awesome show….there were some awesome costumes as well, like this guy who made his own Halo costume (I feel like it took him a long time in his mom’s basement).  Speaking of taking a long time, we dressed up as the Blue Man Group, and learned that it’s not as simple as just smearing blue paint all over your face. You can see it here – check out our staged Blue Man Group impression (video taken by Kim Zande)…

Rock On!

Back at Porter Bellys, then we got Lucky.

This past weekend we had another great run at Porter Bellys in Brighton, where we played another long and crazy 3 hour set. With Mikey from the Soap Stars helping us out with the sound, we rocked the house down for sure and everyone by the end was having just as much fun as we were. And we sold enough CD’s to pay Mikey for his services so it all worked out pretty well. Part of the crew hit up a small gathering at a local art studio called Casa Bonita. Some great post-expressionist style work, check it out. Not that I’m calling anyone a post-expressionist, I mean you are allowed to be into what you want. Don’t ask don’t tell, like the Army.

After a short recovery from the night before, we were off again to the Lucky Dog in Worcester. This was our third time playing there, and each time it has been very interesting. This time we ran into some people we played with in the past such as A Thousand Ships, a fun two piece band from Boston who we shared a set with at the All Asia Café. And another great two piece act Hey Now Morris Fader, who we played with at Tammany Hall a while back. These guys have a CD coming out soon and it sounds pretty good, and they are also fun to watch on stage. The drummer at the end decided to stage dive into his drum set, which was quite amusing.

Across the street there was a fight that broke out between two Chads who decided they had to be tougher than the other guy. Also, there were some sketched out characters at Lucky Dog while we were playing, and they were definitely on something but apparently they really liked our music and bought a CD. Overall quite an amusing weekend.

Next on the Stem Show is what are we going to be for Halloween? Any thoughts?
