Saturday October 17th At The Bridge Recording Studio (www.thebridgesoundstage.com)

Tickets are $20 and must be purchased before hand. This is a private event and space is limited so visit and purchase your tickets today.

Please note that the ticket is priced accordingly so that we can raise enough money to fund the recording and the event. In today’s world fans are the record label. We realize it’s costly so we have done our best to add a ton value to the event and to make sure it’s a wild night.

For those of you who are traveling from out of town we have a link to some area hotels that are reasonably priced and easy to get to also if you are unable to attend but would still like to contribute you can do so at http://www.stereogrove.com. If you donate more than $50 you will receive a personalized theme song as well as a limited edition CD of never before heard music.

AFTER PARTY DETAILS

The event at the recording studio will probably last a few hours and because it starts early we wanted to give you a full night of fun and music. Immediately following the recording we will all head a few blocks down the street to Toad (1912 Massachusetts Ave) for drinks and more live music. Our good friends Mikey P and Modus will be playing as well as another set from us at midnight.

The after party will be free and is limited to capacity

The polls have closed, the songs have been chosen for the live EP and we’re ready to announce our new name! There’s a lot of information in this email so please read on.

Immediately following the recording we will be hosting an AFTER PARTY at a local establishment where we will be joined by two other bands to bring you more music + a special stripped- down acoustic performance from us to close out the night. (More details to come on this)…

We realize that $20 may be a bit high for a ticket but our goal is to raise enough money to pay for this record & event. Between the recording studio, mixing time, and mastering we need to make around $3,500. We truly value you as fans and understand that money doesn’t grow on trees, which is why we’ve tried to cram as much value into the event as possible and we’ve come up with ways to make sure you feel like you’re getting your monies money’s worth.

If you purchase your ticket before the end of the night on Sunday 9/13/09 (midnight), we will write and record a song about you. Think about it – YOUR VERY OWN THEME SONG. How friggin cool is that?  We’ll email you a set of questions and have you pick a style of music and then hunker down in our rehearsal space and crank out your song just in time for the holidays. If you’re not into theme songs then we’ll write and record any song you like – just give us a little direction and we’ll run with it.

We understand if you can’t make it so we wanted to give you the opportunity to show your support AND get cool stuff in return.  We have made set it up it so that you can donate money to go towards the making of this EP.

WHAT’S THE NAME ALREADY??

The last few months have been super exciting behind the scenes with Stem.  As the heading suggests, we are in fact changing our name – we know, we love “Stem” too and we really wish it didn’t have to end this way, but you will be pleased to know that it was a mutual decision and we’ve decided to still be friends.  It’s something that we as a band decided to do and represents our commitment to the music and to you, our fans, as we are truly in it for the long haul. What is the new band name you ask? Well that is still a secret, and if by some chance you were able to use your powers of deduction to weasel it out of one of us, please keep it to yourself as no one likes surprises after they are ruined

In the coming weeks, we will be announcing our new name and rolling out an arsenal of new websites and content. This is such an important milestone that we’ve decided to celebrate with a kick-ass party at a local recording studio where we will be recording a Live EP. The best part about this is that all of you are invited to come and share this experience with us. On top of that, we would like to ask what songs you’d like to hear. Look Below and vote away!

To mark this special occasion we decided to shack up in a local recording studio and invite all our friends and fans out to share in this experience. Because so much of what we do is for you guys, it’s only fitting that we ask you what you want to hear.

So keeping up with our rare posting rate, let’s get some more news on here. I hate talking when there is not a lot of crazy news, but this time there is some crazy news.

First off, if you don’t already know, we are changing our name. If you are wondering why we are changing our name, then just ask and we will give you the lowdown and drop some knowledge on you in terms of trademark law and first commercial use.:)

We have a new name, but we aren’t going to tell you what it is just yet. That will be coming along side our next big chunk of news so stay calm.

WE ARE GOING TO BE RECORDING A NEW CD!!!! I know, get excited, cause I am. We don’t have a set date yet, but right now it’s looking like the end of September, early October.  I will be releasing the details as we finalize everything, but right now it’s looking like it will be a live performance at a recording studio that we are having a small number of folks attend and be a part of all the magic (read: loud ass rock music)

Also with the name change, you will notice a few other things such as a new Facebook, MySpace, email, all that fancy stuff, and we are getting T-Shirts! They are going to have the new name, so that is something to look forward to as well.

As a note, we will still own all the stemsounds.com stuff, so you can keep spreading the good word of Stem, and we will point people to right place.
